NetZero Cities

The European City Climate Transition Platform

NetZeroCities supports Europe, and particularly European cities, in drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions through climate action to achieve "climate neutrality"—one of the greatest challenges facing our societies today.

The Capacity Building Programmes provide the Norwegian Mission Cities with:

Tailored training and courses. We gain expert knowledge in critical areas such as systemic innovation, green finance, citizen engagement, and new technologies.
Practical tools and methods. The programmes offer concrete tools for our day-to-day work, helping us plan, implement, and measure the impact of our climate initiatives.
Cross-border learning. We are connected with experts and peers in other European cities through professional networks and mentoring schemes, allowing us to learn directly from each other's successes and challenges.

NetZeroCities is our European supporter and toolbox in our efforts to become climate-neutral by 2030. Through this project, we gain access to expert help and tools that assist us in transforming our entire urban community.

The platform also provides us with the necessary funding and support to test brand-new, green solutions in practice. In addition, this collaboration gives us a unique opportunity to share experiences across borders. By learning from other European Mission cities, we can make our own transition both faster and more effective.
